
HCP020 Patient Care Assistant (75 Hours)
This course expands the skill set of a nursing assistant in a hospital setting. Students learn to monitor patients for changes in condition and recording and reporting those changes, instructing and supervising patients about rehabilitative therapy, setting up and operating therapeutic equipment, helping to carry out planned patient care programs, and assisting medical staff in changing dressings and conducting patient examinations.

Yes, once you successfully complete the CNA test prep course, you will need to schedule your hands-on clinical practice and skills check-off at your nearest Southern Technical Institute campus. Once you complete both the online classes and the hands-on practice and check-off, you will receive a certificate of completion. You are offered a free practice session with an instructor within a week before taking your exam. This will give you a chance to go over the skills and to answer any last-minute questions you may have just days before taking your State of Florida CNA exam.
